Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

I've noticed that there are a couple of different cover variations that i don't think that you have mentioned.

Eternal Champions
Ren & Stimpy
Pebble Beach Golf

All these are the old style casing and not the newer Blue casing.  I have Eternal Champions & Peeble Beach in the post.  When I get them I will do scans.

Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

Hmm, interesting - that Pebble Beach has a Euro-style manual too, rather than an Australian one...

Tony - are yours made by Ozisoft (slightly thinner box, "Made in Australia" on the back of the carts)? And do they have Euro-style manuals like that Pebble Beach?

Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

Oh, and another question: If a game looks identical to the European release, apart from having an age-rating sticker (not printed) on the cover (like this copy of Animaniacs), should we count that as a seperate release to the European version or not?

I suspect Ozisoft just imported a load of European games and then stickered them, but it's not possible to tell without being able to closely look at the cart (which is where our Australian members can hopefully help... wink )

I'd lean towards only counting those actually made by Ozisoft, or those with a unique Australian cover (like Australian Rugby League), but am open to other people's opinions on this.

Won't know till i receive them.  I won them about 10 days ago.  Postage is usually about 2 weeks.

Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

I'll dig out some specific scans and details later but Ozisoft also imported and distributed a number of Genesis titles.   These are all stickered with an "Official Sega Approved Import"

Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

roll

I'm feeling all sad now. I wish that I had never sold my megadrive.

I'm 22 years old and I don't even have a credit card/debit card, I can't order any goods from e-bay. Can anybody tell me if there are any mail order services  that sell megadrives, megadrive games?

Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

You can try the gamestation stores in UK, pretty nice sales: you buy 1 game, they offer the second one.
For ebay, no need to have a credit card, you can pay with personal checks from buyers in the UK

Cheers mate. lol

Yeah, i've seen the Gamestation offer. I've asked my Mum to buy me a megadrive for Christmas.
Do you have to have a credit/debit card to register on e-bay?

I wouldn't mind writing articles regarding megadrive games - do you need anyone to write articles for this site?

Re: Australia/NZ Ozisoft release list

I'm pretty sure you don't need a credit card to register on eBay, though you did at one point. Best option is just to try it and see how far you get wink

Gamestation is great for finding dirt-cheap games, though anything interesting seems to have dried up a while back, at least at the ones I frequent.
I wouldn't pay their prices for hardware though - you should be able to get a working MegaDrive on eBay for £10-£15 with a few games, whereas Gamestation will ask about double that.

And welcome aboard! smile

Finally I've received Pebble Beach and Eternal Champions in the post.  Will be posting scans of the covers on monday if I have a chance (Resident Evil 4 on PS2 is taking up a lot of my time at the moment smile )

Both have made in Japan on the back of the box and normal instructions,  but Eternal Champions is in a thinner box.  Strange!!

Also recieved Jurassic Park CD (Old Style Casing) in the post today.  Only ever seen it in Australian.  Has a completely different CD and instructions than the other version.  But back of the box is in different european languages.  So it's probably a Euro release.
